Mood boards are a waste of time

I haven’t done a round of mood boarding in a couple years. I hope I never have to do it again. At this moment in my career, they provide no value that can’t be had with a simple conversation.

See things as they are

Most important skill for design. Also probably for living. This isn’t to say we shouldn’t imagine all that’s possible. But we must know where we’re starting from. We must.

Take Good Notes

The last few months it became apparent, for several reasons, I needed to step up my note taking. With the new and improved “THREE NOTEBOOK” approach I can honestly say it has made my workflow bigger, better, and faster. And stronger.

Listening

Truth be told, I’m not a great designer. I’m pretty good, but not great. What I am great at is more important than executing great designs. I know how to listen to what people are looking for.

Get Organized Already
