To do: design

We are setup and in the office to get to do design for people and organizations who value what we bring to the table. When clients understand this and we move along together in the process, it’s magic. When clients don’t understand this and instead put up many road blocks for us in order to get to the design, it’s a bummer. And we cut you loose. Thanks for playing.

I’m Harvey the Wolf Keitel

If I’m curt with you it’s because time is a factor. If I’m curt it’s because we gots to get this done. If I’m curt with you, I apologize, but this has gone on long enough. The world is littered with stuff that didn’t get done and that’s not how this thing we’re working on together is going to end. We’ve gone through the needed phases, but now we’re here, and it seems I must be curt with you in order to get this wrapped up in neat little bows.

Flattened

When the algorithms flatten the culture, picking up where the corporations left off, leaving us open to robots picking up speed, the next logical move is reset. Or we can simply continue the flattening as everything moves into the geological record. Flat, compact, and very tidy.

Edit, Edit, Edit

We come in and make it what it needs to be by removing what you don’t need. We know, we know, it’s all important. But the only person who cares about everything is you. Trust me, there is fluff, padding, and blah-blah-blah in there and we will find it and simply press “delete” like it’s the not-very-precious thing it is. It must be done. It is the work. And you will thank us for it. Eventually.

More

Sit and think. More of that. More of your mind pushing back against your need to do. Instead just stop. You are calm, you are at peace. You are not concentrating. You are choosing to wander, slowly. To and fro, without the need to respond. Or explain. You are just existing, swaying with the breeze. Not forcing your way at all. But not embracing any push either. Whatever strikes you, there you go.

Tell us about yourself

I love working with community-focused nonprofits who bring creativity and doing good together. I’m particularly fond of designing brand campaigns, event posters, and cool T-shirts. I have a clean, concise graphic design sense with some additional textured/layered illustration flare. Breaking it down and shouting it out visually is what I do day-to-day.

Oh that time of year

When it all comes down to the wire. When all the balls that got dropped come bouncing back. When everybody needs everything they can get. Myself included. But I think the last few years have finally caught up with me. After having got through the pandemic and the election and whatever unprecedented event we’re currently experiencing, I’m just over it. No patience left. Annoyed. Used up. Beat to hell. Ready to put my head under the blanket and listen to music without any pings.
