Society FP

The Society of Family Planning believes in just and equitable abortion and contraception informed by science.

Knowledge Source

An organization who advances sexual and reproductive health through research, education, advocacy, and professional development by providing grants to academics who are doing research on reproductive rights and health.

As the source for science regarding abortion and contraceptive care, the knowledge created by the members of the Society’s community, with a shared focus, radiates outward to the broader family planning community and — ultimately — impacts policy and practice.

The logo is designed for an organization that’s credible, principledengagingvibrant, and bold.

Brand Design

I was brought onto the project by Aggregate, a creative strategy group based in Seattle. Together we collaborated on a full branding process working closely with the new Executive Director with key input from the Board of Directors.

With their new communications strategy in hand, the branding process emphasized a new phase for the organization. One that’s speaking outward to those who can benefit from their research. And whose research is intended to have impact on policies and practices from a vocal community with clear principles.

The full redesign included logo, color palette, and typography which was implemented across a full set of brand deliverables. This included brand guide, stationary, collateral, social media graphics, promotional items, conference materials, and organization website.
